Carnival in the Betzinger Rose


















Betzinger Fasnets-bustle of the "Rose" at the end of the 1920s. The man in costume Gottlob Wolpert is from the Rose Street, farmer and owner of a Betzinger cider. Gottlob Wolpert was known all his life under the name "Lydian" because his mother was Lydia. It was the invention of such "au-name quite creative, and they were very important to distinguish the many Leibssles, Wolpert and Schlotterbeck from each other.
